Description

Fitment / Compatibility: Front axle braking system — suitable for Renault Kwid 1.0 (2016-) and Renault Triber 1.0 (2019- onward under the same 1.0-series).

What These Pads Do — Purpose & Benefits

  • These pads form the primary friction interface of the front braking system. When the brake pedal is pressed, hydraulic pressure pushes the pads against the rotating front brake discs — generating friction that slows or stops the wheels.
  • They ensure consistent, reliable stopping power suitable for everyday driving: city stop-start, highway deceleration, uphill/downhill — right for compact vehicles like the Kwid/Triber.
  • By using a pad set built to match OE-spec dimensions and compatible with the original brake system (SUMITOMO), this part helps ensure correct fitment, balanced braking, and optimal disc contact — minimizing uneven wear, vibration, or braking issues.
  • Using a fresh set restores brake responsiveness, pedal feel, and safety (especially if the old pads were worn down), while protecting the brake discs from damage that worn pads can cause.

 Installation / Maintenance Notes

  • Because the pads come without wear-sensor contacts, you’ll need to rely on visual inspection or brake feel (pedal response, noise, braking distance) to judge when they need replacement.
  • It’s recommended to replace both front pads (left & right) at the same time to maintain balanced braking and avoid uneven wear or pulling to one side.
  • When installing new pads, inspect the brake discs (rotors): ensure they are within thickness spec, free of deep grooves or warping — otherwise consider disc replacement or resurfacing to maximize pad life and braking performance.
  • After fitting, “bed in” the new pads: i.e. carry out several moderate decelerations (not harsh stops) during first 100–200 km to properly seat pads against rotors for optimal performance
